Grizzlies All-Rookie Guard Desmond Bane Signs with Tandem

Arlington, VA, September 13, 2021 – Tandem Sports + Entertainment/You First has signed 2021 NBA All-Rookie Second Team guard Desmond Bane for full-service representation. Bane will be represented by Tandem President Jim Tanner. The agency will handle contractual agreements, personal appearances, public relations, corporate partnerships, and community relations initiatives for the second-year player.

Selected 30^th overall in the first round of the 2020 NBA Draft, Bane helped lead the Grizzlies to their first playoff appearance since 2017. The 22-year-old guard set a team rookie record for three-point field goal percentage (.432) and led all rookies in this category. His record-setting three-point shooting ranked ninth in NBA history by a rookie and third among all first-year players since the 2009-10 season.

“Desmond is a great young player and an even better person,” Tanner said. “He is positioned to continue to make a significant impact for the Grizzlies. We’re excited to work with Desmond and to help him maximize his on-court potential and off-court passions.”

Bane appeared in 68 games for the Grizzlies and averaged 9.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in his first season in Memphis.
