Prominent sports agent Jim Tanner, formerly a partner at Williams & Connolly, announced today that he has launched a new full-service sports marketing, management, and communications agency – Tandem Sports & Entertainment.
Joining Tanner at Tandem are Helen Dooley (Senior Vice President of Talent Representation and General Counsel), Terese Whitehead (Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Development), Shana Martin (Senior Vice President of Client and Business Operations), Graham Boone (Director of Basketball Operations) and Kenyon Redfoot (Director of Brand Strategy), all formerly of Williams & Connolly. Derrick Powell, formerly of Excel Sports Management, has also joined Tandem as its Vice President of Player Representation. Derrick is an experienced NBA agent with over 12 years of representing professional basketball players. Also joining Tandem is Matt Laczkowski. Matt will be Director of Athlete Representation and Staff Counsel.
Additionally, Meredith Geisler and her independent sports communications practice, Meredith Communications, will now be integrated into Tandem where Geisler will serve as Senior Vice President of Communications. Prior to establishing Meredith Communications in 2001, Meredith was the PR Director at Fila, Advantage International (now Octagon Worldwide), and Total Sports.
