Tandem Signs New Orleans Pelicans Center Ömer Aşik for
Full-Service Representation
Arlington, VA, March 31, 2017 – Tandem Sports + Entertainment has signed New Orleans Pelicans center Ömer Aşik, Tandem President Jim Tanner announced. Tandem will provide full-service representation for Aşik, overseeing contractual agreements, personal appearances, public relations services, corporate partnerships, community relations initiatives and business opportunities.
“Ömer is a talented and respected NBA veteran,” Tanner said. “He is a true professional and leads with his on-court performance. Our entire team is thrilled to work with Ömer.”
Aşik was the 36th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers, who then traded his draft rights to Chicago. Aşik has played with Chicago, Houston and New Orleans throughout his NBA career. He is currently in this third season with New Orleans and holds career averages of 5.4 points and 7.3 rebounds.
Aşik was a member of the Turkish National Team at the 2014 FIBA World Cup that appeared in the quarter finals. He also played in the 2010 FIBA World Championships and helped the Turkish National Team win a silver medal. Aşik played in the Turkish League prior to the NBA and was twice named an All-Star.
