Tandem Signs Vanderbilt’s Luke Kornet for Full-Service Representation

Arlington, VA, April 4, 2017 – Tandem Sports + Entertainment signed Luke Kornet from Vanderbilt University for full-service representation for the NBA Draft and throughout his basketball career, Tandem president Jim Tanner announced. Kornet will be represented by Tanner and Tandem’s Director of Athlete + Talent Representation, Matt Laczkowski. Tandem will handle contractual agreements, personal appearances, public relations services, corporate partnerships, community relations initiatives and business opportunities for the NBA Draft prospect.

Kornet played four years at Vanderbilt and helped the Commodores reach back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. As a senior, he was honored as a First-Team All-SEC selection. Kornet was also named to the SEC All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive year. With 150 three pointers, he is the all-time NCAA leader in three-point shots made by a player over seven-feet tall.

Kornet was named the 2016-17 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year and earned Second-Team Academic All-America honors by CoSIDA. He is a double major studying computer science and mathematics, and will graduate from Vanderbilt this spring.

“Luke has proven himself to be a strong leader on the court,” Tanner said. “His maturity is outstanding and he helped Vanderbilt finish the season strong and reach a second consecutive NCAA Tournament. Luke’s dedication to his education is admirable and he has been praised for his achievements not only on the court, but also in the classroom.”
