Tandem Sports + Entertainment/You First Sports Hire Basketball Agent Elias Sbiet

Arlington, VA, January 5, 2021 – Tandem Sports + Entertainment/You First hired Elias Sbiet as a new basketball agent, President of North America Jim Tanner announced. Sbiet will be based in Canada and will work with professional players in the NBA and overseas.

Prior to this position, Sbiet co-founded North Pole Hoops, where he has worked for the last 11 years as the Director of National Scouting. The organization provides exposure for Canadian basketball talent. In his role, Sbiet identified scholarship opportunities for more than 400 student-athletes.

“Elias is an exciting addition to our agency and we look forward to working with him,” Tanner said. “He has a strong knowledge of the Canadian basketball landscape, which has become a hotbed for high-level basketball talent. Elias has established great relationships over the years that will help us strengthen our work in Canada and abroad.”

Sbiet also helped build Canada’s leading scouting service for post-secondary programs and founded Canada’s first national high school league, the National Preparatory Association. Additionally, Sbiet ran Canada’s national exposure camp circuit, where he identified some of the nation’s top hidden talent outside of traditional basketball markets. In 2019, he was listed as one of the Top 20 influencers in Canadian Basketball in Michael Grange’s “Canada Basketball Power 20” on Sportsnet.ca.
